Very excited. I’ve been looking forward to release info for the Odyssey, which has the most impressive specs and sleekest look of all the newly-released (or to-be-released) e-ink readers. I live in the U.S., however, but I likely will try to track down an Odyssey if initial reviews are good.
Hello Marco,
we’re sorry about the delay, the English version of our Press Release will be published soon, we’ve published the French version last night.
Best regards,
Bookeen Team
Great – my F5 key stopped working since I’m refreshing this page for a day now. The last time I was this excited about an ebook reader launch was for the iRex Iliad.
Will it support epub3 (when the standard is finalised), through a firmware upgrade? Is the CPU in firmware memory space sufficient to allow for such firmware upgrades?
Hello Rob,
thanks for your message. It is planned to support some ePub3 features such as Chinese, Japanese & Korean vertical layout and CSS3 Ruby.
There is plenty of space for firmware updates.
Best regards,
Bookeen Team
Is it possible to connect a keyboard to the e-reader and to write/type (for example in Google Docs)? Or is the refresh rate still not high enough for that?
Hello Het,
such uses depend on several different elements, not only the refresh rate. The Cybook Odyssey is above all a device meant for reading rather than advanced text editing / input and as such it is optimised for this activity.
Best regards,
